The holiday shopping headache has arrived...

Dave's mother offered to watch BB for a few hours so I could get out of the house alone for some free time. I was very thankful and took her up on the offer. She asked if I would exchange (or return) a skirt that didn't fit her, but she didn't have the receipt. I figured I'd bring it to the store and see what I could do. I was also planning to run over to Babies R Us to pick up some Christmas presents for BB. The thought of a baby + stroller + holiday crowds just gives me a major headache. The earlier I can get this all done, the better for all of us.

I had to park across the way from the mall at The Container Store. The mall was SO busy. I browsed The Container Store first and they had so many cute things! Every time I go there, I have to make sure I keep my mouth shut so I don't drool all over the place. It's one of my favorite places. When I move to a house someday, I will go crazy in that store.

To keep a long story short (I think), I got absolutely nothing done. The woman who was "helping" me at Lord & Taylor was a total snob and took up all my time. Because I didn't have a receipt and the original bag she suggested it was possible I just grabbed the skirt and said I bought it. She made me feel like I was actually guilty, and that really peeved me. I should have reported her, but it wasn't worth my time. This has never happened to me before. I walk into Banana Republic and J.Crew all the time to return things without receipts and original bags and have no problems at all. Maybe that's why I don't shop at department stores.

I made chicken and rice porridge for BB's dinner. I mixed it with some carrots so it wouldn't be so sticky. I think there was too much texture, because she had an accident. First, cough, cough, cough, so I patted her on the back firmly. Next thing I know, porridge projectile is flying towards my face. Yes, my face. I smell sour. Boo...

I realized we need to start thinking about a tree, ornaments, stockings, etc. AHHH. Too much to think about. I need to make a list of holiday "things to do."

I really like these little silver frame ornaments from Pottery Barn Kids. They also have this cute Santa hat that you can personalize with your child's name. So cute!

Oh, crapola. That reminds me that I have to take some decent pictures of BB if I want to do a holiday card. That needs to be near the top of the list. I wish someone could just do all this for me...or watch the baby so I can do it without DISTRACTIONS.

Blahhhh! Now I'm too tired to think about anything at all. Going. To. Bed. NOW.
