I should just camp out in the store.

I cannot tell you how much I LOVE West Elm. I just browsed their website and drooled all over my keyboard. Trying to find an excuse to make a little trip over there this weekend. When we move, I definitely want to have a space of my own for whatever creations I come up with. And that means I'll need a worktable for my sewing machine (that's STILL in the box...grr). Love the one above, or maybe I just love the whole white look. I also love the ones below. Aren't they fun and whimsical?
And these wave shelves are fun, too.
So the only way to satisfy my neverending West Elm obsession (in addition to the Banana Republic, J.Crew, Williams-Sonoma, etc. ones) is to win the Mega Millions tonight. Dave bought a few tickets this week at $1 apiece. We think our chances are preeeetty good. This reminds me of the movie "Dumb and Dumber" when Lloyd asks Mary what his chances are of being in a relationship with her. Weirded out, she says "More like one in a million," to which he replies, "So you're telling me there's a chance!"

Gung Hay Fat Choy!

Did I forget to mention Chinese New Year? It's the year of the Golden Pig (it's only "Golden" once every 60 years) and it's the first year I didn't really do anything for "CNY" as some have been calling it. When BB gets a little older and can understand it I'll definitely make a big deal of it, but it seems like Dave and I are perpetually exhausted these days.
I finally compiled a little album of photos for my Popo (Cantonese for maternal grandmother) who lives in Toronto. I'm so awful because I kept saying I was going to send pictures and didn't put in the effort to make time for this. It's a Noci brag book by Kolo with a little card stock tag message attached. Kolo has some great products and I hope Popo likes it (the pictures too!). You know what else I did? I renewed my driver's license! The picture is enough to scare your pants off and it cost a ridiculous $40, but I feel MUCH better now that I got it done.

I came across this website called Branch (via Design*Sponge). I love these bamboo pieces by Bambu. I'm really tempted since the prices are great...but I don't think our cabinet has any more room for bowls and such...(pout).
Lost is on tonight! American Idol, too. I watched the top twelve males last night. Umm...how was that Blake guy's version of Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know" deemed the best performance of the night? It sucked! Anyway, gotta go. BB pooped. Whoopie...

A little inspiration...

I love the style of West Elm. One opened recently in the Trilogy buildings in Fenway -- right down the street from where we USED to live. I can't wait to move and decorate the way I want to. Anyway, I checked the website and they've got some great new stuff. The pictures are so inspiring and beautiful. Love the cool blues and greens.
Fantastic headboard:

I WANT!

I should check out the Flickr homepage more often. There are always neat new features available, and these are definitely one of them. Everyone always complains that Dave, may mom, and I don't carry pictures of BB around with us. AH! An excuse to order these! Maybe in the New Year when I have time to upload and crop a bajillion pictures. The primary focus right now is on Christmas cards. I figured out which cards I want and the list of people we need to send them to. All I have to do is set up a little modeling session with BB. Hopefully I'll get at least one good shot.
