Too Busy To Type

What a week, what a week. It was almost as if I was back in college, studying for finals. Except, instead of studying, I was sitting in front of the computer for hours upon hours. Almost every night this week was an all-nighter and I hope I never have to pull one again. However, all the work paid off and I'm just relieved it's the weekend.

Since I had no free time on my hands (any free time I had was spent passing out on the floor), I didn't get a chance to upload onto my new flickr account, nor did I have a chance to blog. As a result, I have all these random pictures from the past week or two that have been patiently waiting in iPhoto. Here are some, and they're all off BB (except one).
First time BB got to roam the supermarket on foot.
We spent the entire time chasing her.
Every baby should have a bag of rolls to squish. We put them back on the shelf (don't tell anyone).

We tried the Shabu at Fugakyu Café. It wasn't too bad. A little plain. Bad idea to use ponzu as a dipping sauce for EVERYTHING.
BB's good behaviour didn't last very long...
My other child. He actually kind of looks like one here. Don't tell him I said so. <3
Warm enough to wear a t-shirt today! She also kept her giddy giddy clip in her hair!
Hanging out in the Prudential food court before having a gigantic breadbowl filled with chowder for lunch. We ate it so fast and forgot to take a picture of it.
The past few weeks have been spent getting in touch with friends before everybody graduates (except me, but that's okay for now -- I'm the only one with a job!). Last weekend, a friend organized a reunion party for the close group we hung out with freshman year. We've all kind of drifted apart over time in two's and three's, but it was so great to all be seated at one table at our old haunt, Kayuga (that's also where Dave and I met). I laughed until I almost peed in my pants as we reminisced about all the childish things we did and recalled all of our old inside jokes. Must get together with them again within the next month.

I took BB to Boston this afternoon so we could have lunch and shop with my friend Moyoko, whom I have not seen in months and months. The weather has been glorious, and BB and I broke out the short sleeves. The anime convention was in town. For those who live in areas where the conventions travel to, that's all I would have to say, but for those of you who are not familiar... there were dressed up people everywhere. And I mean dressed up. And I mean everywhere. Now, I have nothing against anime, but it is definitely interesting when this is standing behind you when in line for Ben & Jerry's. Or when this and this walk past you while browsing through the aisles of Sephora. This, too. Anyway, we were still able to enjoy ourselves. BB saw some dogs and got outside. Moyoko bought some shoes. I picked up a necklace and some Shu Uemura (<3)>

Tomorrow, we're off to South Hadley to spend the day with my dad, stepmom, and little sisters (aka BB's aunties). Hoping we'll be able to make it in time to join them at Lupa's. I know BB will love it there! She's definitely an animal lover. We'll be having a feast for dinner as well, since my dad is not capable of cooking a small meal (which is A-OK, since he's the best cook).

Time to go to bed. This took way longer than I thought it would, plus Dave is home. Plus, I want some ice cream. BYE!

I finally did it!

I went PRO on flickr! It took me way too long to get here, but people have been nagging me about not uploading photos onto my free account anymore. The 20 MB limit was killing me. Resizing photos can be a bitch. So, now that I have a job, I can afford this sort of little thing and I am very excited about it.

Too tired to upload anythi
ng now, but maybe I'll get a chance tomorrow -- since tomorrow is Marathon Monday. Was looking forward this year to going out to the city like we always do, but the weather is going to be so awful (plus, I still have to work, unlike Dave). We are, however, going to trek out to Sudbury for some hot pot. I have been craving some good shabu for the longest time!

Anyway, I should get to bed to catch up on some sleep. I have more to write about regarding this past weekend, but it can wait a little. A big GOOD LUCK and KEEP WARM to our friend Sophia who is running the marathon. Isn't that amazing? I get a cramp just chasing after BB and can't even fathom running 26+ miles. I hope the weather clears up for all the runners + wheelers...

A Little Time for Me

Another chilly day. Another day inside. I only left the apartment today to pick Dave up at the train stop and I had to bring BB along (good thing she was well bundled up!). I am anxious to go out -- there are still many things that need to be taken care of -- but I'm reluctant to expose BB to the cold. We finally got a little snow here, and I'm content with just a little. Any more than a little is...well...too much... (This is where Dave would look at me as if I had teeth coming out of my ears.)

It's late, but I'm up just to have a little time to myself. BB and her daddy went to bed awhile ago and I've been up to no good. I should've been making the rest of the paper flower decorations for BB's birthday (pictures coming soon) but I just ended up browsing through my favorite blogs and reviews on Golden Globes fashion. Additionally, I also had a very nice, piping hot, 15 minute shower with no interruptions or worry of interruptions. I should be off to bed soon to curl up next to my guy, and wrap myself in...
...THIS! I bought this for myself (a steal on sale!) the other week. It's probably something I've been drooling over for the past two or three years. I've bought many as gifts for others but never got one for myself until now. We already have the red and gold one, but it was really a gift from my mom to Dave so I never really thought of it as my own. Ha! Restoration Hardware's chenille throws are the best. Not only are they beautiful and soft, they're also very heavy (which I L-O-V-E in a blanket). I am a blanket fiend and can never have enough!
I also picked up these cute little bowls from Anthropologie. $2 apiece. So cute. I've been using them for serving BB's baby food and for little helpings of ice cream for myself. Anyway, there are a couple good steals. A couple things just for me. There's no harm in indulging oneself once in awhile.

Masterpiece

((Made using BigHugeLabs.com Warholizer))

Just hanging out with Dave's sisters and BB for the day. Lazy day living. Had the tastiest omelette this morning, courtesy of G. Eggs + heavy whipping cream + maple sausage slices + cream cheese = Artery Clogger = YUM!

Yesterday was also a lazy day, but I had a perfect afternoon. Dave and I haven't been able to spend time together lately with all that's been going on with the restaurant and school, but we actually went out to lunch in town yesterday (with BB). We ended up going to P.F. Chang's and had Peking Duck, Oolong Sea Bass, Ahi Tuna, and a flourless chocolate dome (drool). It was nice to spend time together outside the house and away from the pain in the ass that is the restaurant.

Anyway, I'm thinking of going out a little later. BB needs mittens and the ones I ordered from Hanna Andersson are on backorder (grr). The weather is getting colder now and I'm not liking it. I don't want poor BB to freeze! Maybe I'll post more later. Not in the mood to write further now. Have a lovely day

Beauty or Beast?

I forgot to post about this earlier, but I went to Target and saw that Rafe made an affordable line of bags. I had seen how designers (Isaac, Behnaz, Paul & Joe) did clothing lines for The Store That Is My World, but I was surprised to see bags...big bags.
I stood there for awhile holding this bag, not sure if I liked it or not. I liked that it was only $50 and said "rafe new york" on it (shallow, I know), but is it really good looking? I was actually looking at the blue one, checking the insides to see if it could double as a diaper bag (a reviewer on target.com planned to use it as one). I still don't know! It's rather shiny, but if it does look good...then that's a pretty damn good deal. I wish it came in white. I would've been sold. This little one below is cute but doesn't work with my lifestyle.
Maybe this black one would be suitable. Is it too shiny? I'm not so sure if I like shiny...but I'm kind of liking the bag as a whole...
Bless you, Target. May every designer out there come to you over the years.

Happy Holidays to ME!

Went to Westfarms last night to get out of the house. I bought cute birthday cards at Papyrus (love!) and THIS! My hair feels silky + looks shiny, and I didn't get any Christmas shopping done.

This is bad. This is like when I took pride in NOT having studied in school...

Now I don't feel so great. Notice how every post I've made of late mentions "how much I still need to do" and about how I "haven't done anything yet"?

BAD! Bad, bad, bad! I'll write more after my brother's dinner. For his birthday. For which I only have a card to show. Stick a lump of coal in my stocking, already.
