It's just after 2am and I am pretty tired, but since Dave is awake doing work I don't feel like hitting the sack just yet. Here I am, blogging. Oh, my. Just a little, and then I'll stop (what all addicts say).
Tonight I made cranberry orange scones! They turned out beautifully and I will most definitely make them again. Next time I will try a different fruit with the recipe. Maybe blueberries and lemon zest? I wish I could post a picture, but I haven't taken any yet. If there are still some left tomorrow afternoon, I'll attempt to take a decent picture. I really want to be more thoughtful about the pictures I take -- in terms of direction of light, placement, etc. If they turn out well, then you shall see them.
I have to wake up in a few hours to drive Dave to the train station. I don't mind the idea of it at all, but I think my body's timeclock does not appreciate it. We've been planning to wake up early this week but ended up sleeping in both Monday and Tuesday. Oops! Let's hope that the third time is the charm.
Georgina and I checked out the apartment community's gym. I was very impressed and cannot believe I have been missing out! It's in the building right across from ours and I MUST make a genuine effort to go there and use the ellipticals. Dave wants to go in the mornings and suggested we do it this coming morning. Nice idea, but I wouldn't bet on it. I'm just going to focus on getting up in time to get him to Eliot.
On an end note, I had been getting a little depressed that I had lost all my hobbies (violin, tennis, etc.) but I am now proud to announce that I am developing new ones!
1. I love to BAKE!
2. Knitting and sewing is so much fun.
(Must take a trip to the fabric store to spur on the latter notion of #2.)
Now it's really time to go to bed. I'm going to regret staying up so late come morning...
