Busy Bees

It's been a few days since my last post, and I apologize to the few faithful readers who take the time out of their day to check out this little blog. The past few days have been a whirlwind of "things to do" and "people to see." BB has been one busy little girl whose company is on demand!

Friday was my mom's birthday and she, BB, and I just had a great time. She said it was the best birthday she's ever had and it made me so happy to hear that. Isn't she beautiful? Everyone either thinks that she is BB's mother or that she and I are sisters.

I took my mom out to lunch at our favorite little haunt, Iron Chef, for sushi and a little Chinese food. After, we visited some close family friends. And although it was raining and there were wind warnings and advisories, we went to get her Christmas tree just as we planned. If you had seen us out there on the tree farm looking for the perfect tree, you would think we were out of our minds. I couldn't help but laugh the entire time, it was so much fun. Poor BB probably thought she was going to blow away. In the picture below, you can see she's clinging to the umbrella for dear life. I didn't want to include this picture since I look AWFUL, but BB is just so funny.
Don't ask the details of how we got the tree home, in the house, and standing straight in its stand, but we did it. I'll only say that it was dragged through the garage and the whole thing was definitely a feat.
I bought my mom a variety of slices of cake to choose from, and we had a lovely evening just spending time together and getting the tree dressed.
BB and I arrived back home yesterday and we have a very special guest. Dave's sister Wanda is visiting from California and it's her first time meeting BB. We're all having a great time catching up, so I'll have to leave the rest of our stay at my mom's for next time.
