My brother Matt just sent me this picture today. We must've been 3 and 4 or 4 and 5. Somewhere around there. I've seen this picture in a little frame at my dad's house and I'm glad Matt scanned it. I think we're hugging in most of our childhood pictures together. We've always been pretty close and it's been nice having a sibling less than a year apart from me. Our mom says everyone used to think we were twins and I love all the stories she has -- like when we fed the tropical fish a box of noodles (the noodles cooked, the fish died...), when we stuck styrofoam up our noses and went to the emergency room, and when Matt didn't want to leave Friendly's restaurant (our mom threatened to leave him there and I got upset because I thought she was serious). Good memories.
He'll be turning 21 in exactly a month and we'll be the same age until my birthday on December 31. I'm really proud of him -- he's really grown up into a man and is doing great things for himself (awww). Now that we don't see each other every day, it's kind of sad because I miss him. If you're reading this, Uncle Matt, I can't wait to see you this week!
I was so lucky to have a great brother to grow up with.
